Product Information

Uses of dicyandiamide
1.Determination of cobalt, nickel, copper and palladium. Organic synthesis. Nitrocellulose stabilizer. Hardening agent. Descaling agent. Vulcanization promoter. Resin synthesis.
2.Used as a latent curing agent for epoxy resin adhesive, formulating one-component epoxy adhesive, only when the particle size of dicyandiamide is ≤5μm (2500 mesh), it can form a suspension in the epoxy resin and will not produce precipitation. The reference dosage is 4 to 12 parts, and the applicable period of 100g epoxy resin composition is 6 to 12 months. The storage period of dicyandiamide is less than 2 months when 17 parts are used, but the storage period can be as long as half a year when 8 parts are used. Curing conditions 170℃/lh or 180℃/20min, heat distortion temperature 125℃. It is also used as curing agent of one-component water-based epoxy adhesive. The reference dosage is 7 parts. Dicyanodiamine (5-6 parts) and hydrazide (3-4 parts) complex system, can be 120 ℃ / 45min curing epoxy resin.
3.As a raw material of guanidine salt and cyanuridine diamine class
Various guanidine salts can be made by reacting dicyandiamide with acid. Dicyandiamide and phenyl nitrile reaction to get benzoyl cyanuric diamine is paint, laminate, molding powder Intermediates.
4.Used as dye color fixing agent
Dicyandiamide resin made by the reaction of dicyandiamide and formaldehyde can be used as dye color fixing agent.
5.Dicyandiamide Fertilizer
Dicyandiamide compound fertilizer can control the activity of nitrifying bacteria, so that the conversion rate of nitrogen fertilizer in the soil can be regulated, reducing the loss of nitrogen and improving the efficiency of fertilizer use. 
6.As fine chemical intermediates (e.g. Dye Intermediates)
In medicine, it is used to make guanidine nitrate, sulfonamide, etc. It is also used to make thiourea, nitrocellulose stabilizer, rubber vulcanization accelerator, iron and steel surface hardening agent, filler of artificial leather, adhesive, etc. The pharmaceutical intermediate 5-azacytosine can be obtained from the reaction between dicyandiamide and formic acid.
