Plastics And Products
1. Definition of Plastics
Plastic is a synthetic or natural polymer compounds as the main component, at a certain temperature and pressure conditions, can be molded into a certain shape, when the external forces are lifted, at room temperature can still maintain its shape unchanged material.
2.The classification of plastics
1、 thermoplastics: resin for the structure of linear or branched polymer chain.
Polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyformaldehyde (POM), polyamide (commonly known as nylon) (PA) and so on.
2、Thermosetting plastics
Phenolic resin (PF), epoxy resin (EP), amino resins, alkyd resins, allyl resins and so on.
3、General Purpose Plastics
Polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polyethylene, polypropylene, phenolic resins, amino resins

4、Engineering plastics
General engineering plastics: polyamide, polycarbonate, polyformaldehyde, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer and so on.
Special engineering plastics (high-performance engineering plastics): polysulfone (PSU), polyimide (PI), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyethersulfone (PES), polyaromatic ester (PAR) and so on.
5、Functional plastics (specialty plastics)
Plastics with special functions such as radiation resistance, superconductivity, magnetic conductivity and light sensitivity. Fluorine plastics, silicone plastics.
6、Crystalline plastics
Plastics whose molecules are regularly arranged and maintain their shape: PE, PP, PA.
7、Non-crystallized plastics
Long-chain molecules around a ball (for thermoplastics) or into a network (for thermosetting plastics), and to maintain its shape of the plastic: PS, PC, ABS.
