Product Information
Definition of Phenol
Phenol, commonly known as: carbolic acid, molecular formula for C6H6O, mainly by the oxidation and decomposition of isopropylbenzene produced, is an important Organic Chemical Raw Materials, can be used in the production of phenolic resins, bisphenol A and other chemical products and Intermediates , but also used as a solvent, Disinfectant .
Phenol is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H5OH, a colorless needle crystal with a special odor, toxic, and an important raw material for the production of certain resins, fungicides, antiseptics, and drugs (such as aspirin). It can also be used to disinfect surgical instruments and excreta treatment, skin sterilization, anti-itching and otitis media. Melting point 43 ℃, slightly soluble in water at room temperature, soluble in organic solvents; when the temperature is higher than 65 ℃, with water to any proportion of mutual solubility. Phenol is corrosive, after contact with local protein denaturation, its solution on the skin can be washed with alcohol. A small portion of phenol exposed to air is oxidized by oxygen to quinone and pink. It turns purple when it meets trivalent iron ions, which is usually used to test phenol.
Phenol, a common type of benzene ring intermediate in Pharmaceutical Intermediates, is a compound containing a benzene ring and a hydroxyl group (-OH). It can be formed by substitution of hydrogen on the benzene ring by a hydroxyl group. Phenol and its derivatives have important applications in the pharmaceutical, dye and chemical industries.
Application areas of phenol
Widely used in the manufacture of phenolic resins, epoxy resins, nylon fibers, plasticizers, developers, antiseptics, insecticides, fungicides, dyes, pharmaceuticals, spices and explosives.
Industry
Phenol is an important organic chemical material, it can be used to produce phenolic resins, caprolactam, bisphenol A, salicylic acid, picric acid, pentachlorophenol, 2,4-D, adipic acid, phenolphthalein n-acetoethoxyaniline and other chemical products and intermediates, in the chemical raw materials, alkyl phenols, synthetic fibers, plastics, synthetic rubbers, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, spices, dyestuffs, paints and refining and other industries have important uses. In addition, phenol can also be used as a solvent, experimental reagents and disinfectants, aqueous solution of phenol can make the chromosomes in plant cells on the protein and DNA separation, to facilitate the staining of DNA.
Medical treatment
Usage and dosage
1、Disinfection of instruments and excreta treatment 1%~5% aqueous solution.
2、Skin sterilization and antipruritic: 2% ointment applied to the affected area.
3、Middle ear infection with 1%~2% phenol glycerin ear drops, 3 times a day.
Company information
The company's main import and export products include
(1)Catalysts And Auxiliaries:The catalyst is the active component that really acts as a catalyst and reduces the activation energy of the reaction. The additives, on the other hand, are auxiliary components, either structural additives or electronic additives, which can improve the stability of the catalyst, while the electronic additives can modulate the electronic properties of the catalyst. Our main Catalysts and Additives products include Plastic Additives、Water Treatment Agent.
(2)Organic Raw Materials:Organic raw materials, i.e., Petrochemicals based on oil and natural gas as raw materials, grain fermentation for alcohol or solvent industry, coal gasification of raw gas and dry distillation of recovered coal tar to produce or fractionate a variety of organic chemical products in the industry. Our Organic Raw Materials include Industrial Acetate、Hydrocarbon Compounds、 Ester Compounds .
