Product Information
Phthalimide is an organic compound with chemical formula C8H5NO2, white crystalline powder, slightly soluble in water, ether, benzene and chloroform, slightly soluble in ethanol, easily soluble in alkali solution, glacial acetic acid and pyridine, mainly used as Intermediates of dyes, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, Rubber Additives and many other fine chemicals.
Characteristics of phthalimides
Phthalimide not only has excellent properties, but also its 4-position, 3-position and N-position can be easily modified with various functional groups, and it is easy to synthesize and inexpensive.
Application of phthalimide
Phthalimides and their derivatives contain the general structure -CO-N(R)-CO- with hydrophobic and neutral character. Adamantane derivatives with N-substituted phthalimide portions have been reported to have inhibitory concentrations (MICs) comparable to those of clinically used antibiotics. Phthalimide derivatives have equally good biomedical activities and their promising applications in antitumor, anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant, antimicrobial, antiangiogenic, immunomodulatory, anti-Alzheimer's disease and anti-tuberculosis.
Synthesis of phthalic anhydride
A mixture of phthalic anhydride (1.48 g, 10 mmol) and formamide (1.36 g, 30 mmol) was introduced into a 100 ml flask fitted with a water condenser, removed from the chamber by means of an adapter and then subjected to microwave radiation (400 W) for 2 minutes. Upon completion of the reaction, 10 ml of hot water was added and the crude product was separated by filtration. The resulting solid was recrystallized from ethanol to give 1.43 g (97% yield) of colorless needle-like phthalimide. Yield 1.43 g (97%).
Uses of phthalimide
1. Phthalimide is the intermediate of fungicide Sterilizer, insecticide Imidophos, herbicide Methamidophos.
2. Used in the production of pesticides, dyes, spices, pharmaceuticals, rubber additives CTP, but also used in the production of high-efficiency ion exchange resins, surfactants and so on.
3.Used in organic synthesis as the intermediate of many fine chemicals such as dyes, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, rubber chemicals, etc. For example, it is used in the production of phthalide, o-phthalonitrile, indigo, fungicide, insecticide, such as imidacloprid.
4. Used in the production of pesticides, dyes, spices and pharmaceuticals, rubber additives CTP.
5. Used in the production of high-efficiency ion exchange resin, surfactant, heavy metal extractant, etc.
Company information
The company's main import and export products include
(1)Flavors and Fragrances are volatile substances. They have a certain aroma and fragrance, can be people smell taste out (some aroma and fragrance in the case of people can not be perceived by the senses, but will be different creatures feel and distinguish out); requirements to achieve the purpose of the people's favourite, the spirit of pleasure and enrichment and beautification of the material and cultural life of the people.
(2)Organic Raw Materials are widely used and can be divided into three aspects: one is the raw material used to produce polymer chemical products, that is, the monomer for polymerization; the other is used in other organic chemical industries, including raw materials for fine chemical products; Used in solvents, refrigerants, antifreezes, gas adsorbents, etc. Basic organic chemicals are the basis for the development of various organic chemical products and are a major component of modern industrial structures.
