Tetramethylthiuram Disulfide is an organic compound, white, light grey powder, insoluble in water, insoluble in dilute caustic soda, gasoline, slightly soluble in ethanol, ether, soluble in benzene, acetone, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, carbon disulfide, dichloroethane. Decomposed by acid. Industrial product is white or light yellow powder. It has irritating effect on human mucous membrane and skin, and there is allergic reaction to drinking alcohol for people with long-term exposure.

Product Properties: white to off-white powder (granule), relative density 1.29; soluble in benzene, acetone, chloroform, carbon disulfide, slightly soluble in ethanol, ether, carbon tetrachloride, insoluble in water, gasoline or dilute alkali, and co-heating with water to generate dimethylamine and carbon disulfide, respiratory tract and skin irritation.
Product Uses:
1. It is used as seed fungicide, insecticide and mould inhibitor in agriculture; used as lubricant Additive in industry. It is a super vulcanisation accelerator for Natural Rubber, synthetic rubber and latex. It is often used in conjunction with thiazole accelerators, and can also be used in conjunction with other accelerators as accelerators for continuous rubber. This product can be used as vulcanising agent because it decomposes slowly above 100℃ and precipitates free sulphur. The aging and heat resistance of the product is excellent. Mainly used in the manufacture of tyres, inner tubes, rubber shoes, medical supplies, cables and industrial products. Especially suitable for transparent, white and coloured Rubber Products. Used as vulcanisation retarder in neoprene rubber.
2. It is a broad-spectrum protective fungicide with a residual period of about 7d. It is mainly used to treat seeds and soil, to prevent and control powdery mildew of cereal crops, black scurf disease, rice seedling blight, and also can be used for some fruit tree and vegetable diseases. Such as using 50% wettable powder 500g seed mixing, can prevent and control rice blast, rice huima leaf spot disease, barley, wheat black spike disease.
3. It is used as accelerator of adhesive such as Nitrile Rubber.
4. Used as antibacterial agent and deodorant of soap. Insecticide for agriculture
Packing: 25kg plastic woven bag, paper-plastic composite bag, kraft paper bag.
Storage: It should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place. Packed products should be kept out of direct sunlight, valid for 2 years.
