Preparation of Benzothiazole:
There are various methods of synthesizing benzothiazole, common preparation methods include:
Thiazolone method: benzothiazole can be produced by the reaction of benzothiazolone and hydroaminophenol.
Ammonolysis method: benzothiazole can be produced by the reaction of benzothiazolone and ammonia.

Product Properties: Light yellow to amber liquid, melting point 2°C, boiling point 231°C. Soluble in ethanol, carbon disulfide, slightly soluble in water, can be vaporized with water. Soluble in ethanol, carbon disulfide, slightly soluble in water, can evaporate with water vapor. With neutral reaction, like azoline odor.
